Why do people need our help when there are dozens of pet name sites on the first page of google?
All you need is three seconds of patience and you have thousands of names to choose from. Why is it that people decide that we can name their pets for them just from a simple description?

I think that they are excited about their new dog or cat, and it is a way to let other pet lovers know that they are now one of the lucky ones.
I think it is just a way to make contact with those who love pets.
They may be looking for the unique or trendy names, and those wouldn't be on the lists.
It also gives a way to participate for those who don't have much animal expertise.
I see a lot of really cute names posted!

Hi, Just got a baby hedgehog today. We would like suggestions on what to name her. So far she is extremely cute, highly inquisitive, and sassy... She huffs and rolls in a ball when she doesnt want to be bothered. The names Sonic and Miss Spikes have been thought of and dismissed. Thank you all for your suggestions.

I call my fiance Duck. One day we had been in an arguement and I went to call him a d+ick but I was so frustrated that it came out duck, and that is what i've called him ever since. I thought of going the route of stuffed animal, but for what? So it can sit on a shelf in my bedroom? I dont think so. I would like something really interesting somehow related to ducks. Any ideas?

1 Year Old Westie Named Lola - stands for Lots Of Love Always
5 Year Old Maltese Mix Named Buffy The Bulldog Slayer (neighbors full grown bulldog was terrified of her when she was a pup)
Both sleep in their own crates on soft bedding with the door closed at night even though if we forget to close them they still sleep in there.
Reply:I have four cats, picked them up as very young strays so I don't really know their breeds. Two are boys from the same litter: Kidlat (Filipino for "lightning") and Kuting (means "kitty"). The two girls are SM, which means "Shoe Mart," (sort of like a Wal-Mart here) because I found her waiting for food scraps in a commuter terminal near the mall, and Drizzle, who I found inside a plastic bag that was tied and left on the university parking lot. Yes, it was drizzling that day. They're now all happy, neutered adult cats :)
We also used to have a small dog of mixed breed, named Rambo because he survived being driven over by a motorcyle, but he's no longer with us :(
Oh my cats all sleep with me on my bed. If it's cold Kidlat and Kuting prefer the closet, and SM and Drizzle go under the bed.
