Yeah you can change it! I have seen people on Animal Planet change their adopted pets name all the time! And They never have bad luck either. But sometimes i change my stuffed animals names because some are bad names!!! But the pet's name is probably use to people calling him or her that! unless its a puppy! they probably wouldn't remember their old name! Well i hope you pick a good name!

On the other hand, I had 2 dogs as a kid which we got as family pets when they were puppies. It was nice to be able to call them whatever we liked. It was funny, but we eventually gave them little nicknames besides their names too. You know, like "poopy"--guess why.

He was just a kitten and we say his name so much that he wasn't confused at all. I think if you change the name when they are very young it isn't a big deal. But if it was an older pet then I would probably feel differently about changing its name all of a sudden.

I am planning to adopt a cat for the new year. I am getting him/her from an animal shelter or animal rescue facility. I am adopting a young cat that is older than a kitten but not fully grown. Would it be okay to change the cat's name? I have already chosen names that I like.

In the movie, they didn't even mention that the piano song was written by Edward...I could go on and on, lol. But also, Edward was awkward in the film--in the books, he was confident and suave...I don't know. Transitions between scenes were rough too...but the soundtrack fit well!

Awsome!! i recently got a shar pei puppy (a rolly dog from the toilet paper add) and she now knows her name. i realized when i said "keisha" and staight away she looked up at me as if to say What? if shes being cheeky, shell just sit their wagging her tail pretending to ignore me!! good luck with ur pet :)

I brought her home at 8 weeks, and thought about a different name.. but when I called her she didnt respond, she liked and came to Cooper.. So I stuck with that.. So for my dog she pretty much knew her name at 8 weeks..

Sam gave her a funny look, and my mom, dad, and brother got down and started making a big fuss. I just looked over, and my mom got mad because I wasnt tending to her. I said "Holly's just faking." She looked right at me! With this interesting, bonding, look, and then jumped up and continued to play. It was great.
And, ever since, I have been able to tell exactly when her pain is real and when it's fake. With my other dog, Lexy, too. Sam doesnt fake...Usually when they pretend to hurt their paw, I kiss it...they love that!

My very first vehicle was a 1954 Willys P/U. I named it "Turd", because it left me stranded in the mountains of Idaho, 45 miles from town. Luckily, we had a motorbike with us, so at least we didn't freeze to death in the cold night air.
I had a 4wd Subaru wagon that was called "The *****" because it had a carb problem that only manifested itself when in very tight places in the pine woods of Georgia. Like dead smack between 2 trees, with 3-4 inches clearance on either side.
I now have a "Thunder Chicken".

Did you ever have a 'pet name' for one of your vehicles?
My very first vehicle was a 1954 Willys P/U. I named it "Turd", because it left me stranded in the mountains of Idaho, 45 miles from town. Luckily, we had a motorbike with us, so at least we didn't freeze to death in the cold night air.
I had a 4wd Subaru wagon that was called "The *****" because it had a carb problem that only manifested itself when in very tight places in the pine woods of Georgia. Like dead smack between 2 trees, with 3-4 inches clearance on either side.
I now have a "Thunder Chicken".

Well I have fish named Camio %26amp; Samio
Also a Doolittle, Hicks, %26amp; Underwood :) Probably a soon to be Brooke the Cook. :)

I worked with a cattle recording orginization and you should hear what people call their cows!
for some reason the most memerable was a cow named Horse, then their was Gee Wiz , Tuppence, Gummy Bear, the famous bull Sexation -if you continue with bull names Bunky Boo and Yes a VERY famous bull called Betty (sorry don't know of a Sue)

Reply:I just got two mini schnauzers at Christmas. I think the names we picked are adorable. The salt and pepper color one we named Scout, and the black one we named Piper, They seem to fit real well, and took a few days to decide on, but these were the ones that stuck. You will find one too.

I've just been calling them Birdie and they need some real names but I couldn't think of anything. There is a very bold whiteface cinnamon male. He talks and whistles and also makes tons of noise (anyone that says that Cockatiels aren't noisy, hasn't heard this one). There is a beautiful lutino (yellow) female that is probably my favorite. And last but not least, there is a whiteface pied female that is almost all white with a tad of grey on one side. So, I need 3 names (2 female and 1 male). Any ideas?
