Why do people need our help when there are dozens of pet name sites on the first page of google?

All you need is three seconds of patience and you have thousands of names to choose from. Why is it that people decide that we can name their pets for them just from a simple description?

Why do people need our help when there are dozens of pet name sites on the first page of google?
I think that they are excited about their new dog or cat, and it is a way to let other pet lovers know that they are now one of the lucky ones.


I think it is just a way to make contact with those who love pets.


They may be looking for the unique or trendy names, and those wouldn't be on the lists.


It also gives a way to participate for those who don't have much animal expertise.





I see a lot of really cute names posted!
Reply:Because alot of times people give more exotic or non orginal name on here. the ones on the internet such as max, bubba, fido, lucy, lady, suger foot, bor-ing people want cool names like if your dog is 8th one to be born in the litter you can call him The Ocho, Now there is somthing you can't find on the internet!
Reply:i think it cool that someone think enough of us that we can help them come up with a good name for them, i say we all deserve a great high five for all our efforts for helping someone find a pet name!!!!! either that or they think we don't have a life and need something to do. either way its fun to read the answers.
Reply:Because people like asking others what they think, instead of just getting a random name off the internet. I know it sounds stupid and it wuld be easier just to research names, but people like to know what other people think. Why is it such a big deal anyway?
Reply:I think because it's alot funner to ask questions and see what people from all around the world have to say instead of going on a website and looking up names.Although I do get tired of seeing "Can you name my puppy please"
Reply:Maybe they're excited, and it's just their way of announcing their new pet. I've looked at some of the pet name sites, and usually don't find them all that engaging.
Reply:when you are about to have a baby you ask about names.

Reply:Maybe they just want someone elses opinion. Usually you can tell if that's what they questions going to be so don't open them if they bother you that much.
Reply:Perhaps they like the social interaction and enjoy getting other people's opinions. Plus there are a lot of cool names people can suggest that can't be found in run of the mill name books or the internet.
Reply:I would much rather answer the name a dog by far than to have to continually tell idiots to take the dang dog to the vet before it dies.
Reply:The "Name my puppy" questions became a lot more tolerable to me after I saw a "Help me find *nicknames* for my puppy" question.
Reply:Because they are an insult to pet owners everywhere.


If you can't even name your dog you shouldn't have one.
Reply:Because they are idiots and love to re-ask questions 100,000 times a day?

and really ur question a baby can answer it..so u see why they ask.samething u do.
