I know this may sound soppy but do you have a pet name for your car?

I call my little clio Kate cos her registration starts K8 (get it ?)

I know this may sound soppy but do you have a pet name for your car?
Always.... Funnily enough my name is Kate but have never had a "reg" that suits lol. The important thing is that, like naming ships it is always female so why have a male registration in order to identify it? eg HMS Invincible, when all on board call it by the female name? My current vehicle is called "Ruby" because it helps me to remember my reg, and reminds me that females should rule the world, because you men have gotten it so wrong for so long. Not anti men, just pro let someone else have a go....If you let your cars be females, I rest my case!!!!
Reply:Never. That's a chick thing.
Reply:Yes, my pet name for mine is...'Why wont you bloody well start?'
Reply:My baby blue 1985 LTD was called Blue Thunder. My Neon is called Ghostrider.
Reply:i've got a friend who names her cars, and also names her friends cars! i had a car reg. eyt 681, and that became the yeti, and before that my car was pe 481, and that became peepee!

now i've got hze, and she calls it hazel!

she had a sporty honda, and she called it harry.......sad!
Reply:Yes. Most street rodders have names for their rods. Many Good Guys have named their cars. It is not just a chick thing. It is because we have a great deal of time and/or money invested in our rods. We love our cars and each one is personalized.
Reply:No just my husbands hoover. 'enry from 'ilton road. My plant is called spike, not a cactus.
Reply:my mum calls her car cutie !
Reply:yeah

I do but if I post it I know I will get one of those violation emails
Reply:My mum always names her cars, although she tries to do so like a puppy - right away.

Mine is currently named "Gwen," and it definitely fits. (Gwen means "white" - and it's a Neon with a bit of a 'tude. Although I swear it's gotten me JUST where I was going safely at least three times before it ran out of gas, wouldn't start, wouldn't run, etc.) It took almost four years for a name to become apparent for the car - and some cars just don't have names!

My previous car (which I wrecked in my first and only car wreck about a year after I bought it) didn't have a name.
Reply:i call my civic cobalt

:)
Reply:Yes. Every car we have is always called Maude.

i don't know where the name came from but it has stuck
Reply:ABSOLUTELY. AND IT HAS TO BE THE OPPOSITE SEX TO THE DRIVER, AND START WITH THE SAME LETTER AS THE CAR ITSELF, WITH PREFERABLY SOME FURTHER MATCHING LETTERS.

IE; PERCY THE PASSAT, MANDY THE MONDEO, CLARISSA THE CLIO, OR ERIC THE ESCORT!

SERIOUS BUSINESS NAMING YOUR CAR!
Reply:I CALL MINE . THE ESCAPE . COS THATS WHERE I GO EVERY TIME THE MISSIS STARTS NAGGIN
Reply:i have a '55 chevy i call Miss Ernestine.
