Did you ever have a 'pet name' for one of your vehicles?

I called my old pick up truck Beulah.

Did you ever have a 'pet name' for one of your vehicles?
My very first vehicle was a 1954 Willys P/U. I named it "Turd", because it left me stranded in the mountains of Idaho, 45 miles from town. Luckily, we had a motorbike with us, so at least we didn't freeze to death in the cold night air.

I had a 4wd Subaru wagon that was called "The *****" because it had a carb problem that only manifested itself when in very tight places in the pine woods of Georgia. Like dead smack between 2 trees, with 3-4 inches clearance on either side.

I now have a "Thunder Chicken".
Reply:The first 4 cars I owned all shared the same nickname..."You piece of s**t!"
Reply:Our '51 Lincoln Cosmopolitan Sport Sedan is, 'Cosmo'

Our '78 Lincoln Continental Town Car is, 'The Royal George'

Our '91 Mercury Grand Marquis has yet to be named

Our '01 Chrysler Sebring convertible is, 'Lill-Lee'
Reply:All of ours have had names, Blue, Buck, Wilma, and Sunni are the last few! Good question! Isn't it funny how our perception of certain names is? i.e. old truck =Beulah! lol!
Reply:My sister had a car in London many years ago. It was a Renault 5 (yes, a Renault again --- see my answer to your question a few days ago about the worst car I ever had). This car's numberplate began with the letters FLF and the car was known among all her friuends as "Fluff".
Reply:I call my Trailblazer...Betsy. Its not very creative but its works.
Reply:i call my current baby benz

and my previous car was called penelope

lol weird names =)
Reply:no
Reply:Rosebuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuud. Sorry, just felt like raising Kane. Why is Rosebud considered spam? Yahoo's resonses are just Orwellian sometimes. Perhaps the greatest movie of all time, and he was just 26. Rosebud, there I said it, or rather typed it. keep the spam.
Reply:I call my CRV "Miss Molly."

My mini-van is Bessie.
Reply:Every vehicle I've ever owned has had a nick-name.

Before I was old enough to drive, my bicycle was Samuel.

My first truck (a 1951 1-ton flatbed) was Homer.

Then there was the Leer Jet ('69 Camaro), my Toybox (not very creative for a 1983 Toyota), Patches ('84 Ford Ranger), Randy ('85 Ford Ranger) %26amp; now Sylvia ('93 Ford Explorer)!

My mother called her old station wagon Charlie, my brother called his antique Ford Coupe Rat-car, Dad called his Camaro The Slug %26amp; his pickup truck Lurch.

I guess this sort of insanity runs in my family!
Reply:Red Rocket.
Reply:Oh my dear, Althea.....*sobs in front of everyone* Boy do I miss her! She was my 1971 VW bus. Hand painted by me and a bunch of preschoolers....she sported all kinds of artwork. Headlights with eyelashes and hand drawn ruby red lips. *sniff, sniff* If only I was wise enough to take better care of her. If only I had the heart to give her more TLC. If only I had the money to afford all the parts that kept breaking. *sighs* I miss her and think of her often. She was my sweet Althea. *gently blows her nose and wipes the tears off her cheeks*
Reply:well it wasn't exactly a vehicle....and...ummm..
