Consider calling lover pig, piggy as pet name or belittling?

coz sometimes i do thing those verbal abusers shift gradually, from teasing to humiliating. so slow that the victims cannot realise.

depends how fat it is or do you just want to take the piss...
Reply:There is a fine line, and it depends on how well the people know each other and how comfortable they are with the name. I'll occasionally poke my husband's middle aged paunch and call him Mr Porky, and he'll respond by calling me Miss Podge (we are both carrying a bit spare). But I would not regularly call him Mr Porky or anything else implying he was fat, because I like him the way he is, I don't care if he's got a little gut and I wouldn't hurt his feelings on purpose anyway. Likewise I wouldn't want him calling me Podge all the time, because I'd start to wonder if he really did think I was too fat.

But I know what you're saying about the teasing. My parents used to tease me terribly, to the point that I would cry - they would then say "what? what? We were only joking"
Reply:Depends on your lover's take of it. I've heard people call each other "puppy" and "poopy" and their dog the "poopy puppy." If there's some inside joke that does not have to deal with weight or eating styles, it might be ok. If you're thinking of teasing something and turning that into a pet name, I might strongly suggest not doing it. Try finding pet names without negative connotations attached.
Reply:it depends on the intent and whether the other person considers it teasing or humiliation.

also depends on the rapport really. if they are both friends or not.
