Do you have a good name for a pet Budgie?

My son is getting a budgie for his birthday and he would like some ideas on a name for him.

Do you have a good name for a pet Budgie?
I would name him based on his personality and features.


I have had birds named Spikey, Baby, Rainbow, Andy and Mandy were twins, Sunny, Berry, Smokey, Prettybird, Nicky, I was young when we named them and recently got a new bird who was small and frightened the first few days so he never moved. His name is Pebble.

Green - Kiwi, Olive, Popeye and Minty


Blue - Aqua, Surf and Denim


Yellow Head Blue - Moon-face (moonie) Flash and Sunbeam


Yellow Head Grey - Stratus


Grey - Winter and Windy


Lutino (Yellow) Yolkie and Banana


Albino (White) - Alpine, Starr and Frosty

Reply:I had a budgie I named Paint Tube because he was a real colorful guy. My present budgies are MyGirl (not named by me) and Buzzsaw. Buzzsaw lives up to her name. She's mauled an entire bulletin board overnight, and has shredded a nest in one of my portfolio drawers. Good thing I didn't like the art she destroyed!





I had another budgie named 'Blessings' because she was a real blessing in my home..

Reply:I have 9 budgies. 8 aviary ones and a very spoilt pet one called Minty. The aviary budgies are called Sky, Spongebob, Fizz, Buzz, Bella, Kiwi, Millie and Jake. I've always liked Sparkie for a budgie name. I'm sure the perfect name will come. Minty was nameless for about 2 weeks, because we were just getting used to her and her character. Then, suddenly the name Minty came and it was perfect!

Reply:My Son has one and he named him Teal and my names were Boo and Aflie for two males. I just got two more on Wednesday and still am trying to decide. One is Mostly White with a few Black markings so we re calling him Ghostie and he scares the other one- We haven t decided Yet but are considering Skeety - because he is a scardy Cat when the other one would look at him twice. It would take off squaking when the other one scares it - although it will let us hold him when we put our hand in - if after flying off after staying a bit - when we go to retrieve it - it squaks when we do. It is easy to get and does settle back on our hand.





It usually is easier to think of names when you get one-Their personality will help you decide.
