Does This Baby Name Pet Peeve Bother Anyone Else?

I have this pet peeve with baby names you see, I don't like it when two names paired together (one first and one middle) end in the same sound, I feel like it throws off the fluidity, is that weird?





Example: Anna Sophia I think Anna Sophie is fine but I don't like Anna and Sophia together because of the double short a sound.

Yeah, when they end in the same sound like Anna Sophia, they run together. That annoys me too
Reply:i agree, in general that bothers me. i don't have such a problem with anna sophia, for whatever reason, but that is the only name of that kind that doesn't bother me. like, my best friends name is olivia valentina, and that has always just irked me. haha... it's same with names that both end an an 'ee' sound, like maggie jamie. i just think that sounds bad. it doesn't flow quite right, you know?

Reply:I agree for Y, EN, ELLE and other sounds like that. But strangely the only exception to the rule are girls' names that end in A.





Doesn't bother me at all, they are actually usually among my favourite girl combos.





But any other matching ending for girls and boys is a big NO.



Reply:I hate that too! You arnt the only one. A lot of times i dont even like if they have the same number of syllables...they usually dont sound right. For example like...Faith Grace or something like that...or Elizabeth Victoria. It needs 2 be balanced out.
Reply:I personally like Anna Sophia together, but I see what you're saying. Like I don't think Isabella Gabriella would flow, but Isabella Gabrielle would be cute.

sometimes i think it makes the name seem really classy.


but other times, yea, it sounds a bit awkward and tacky.
Reply:I feel the same. Although all three names won't be used often. Most of the time people use only first and last names when giving their name.
