How do you name a pet so easy?

I cant seem to do it

How do you name a pet so easy?
I've named hundreds of rescued animals over the years. Sometimes it's easy and sometimes it's not. There are a bunch of websites that list pet names and their meanings. Sometimes I name them because of a physical characteristic or personality trait. Other times because of the circumstances of their rescue. Sometimes it just comes to me. One of my dogs is named Kaija which is from the Jewish toast "L'Chaim" because she needed a strong name. I had named her after my cousin's daughter then it looked like she might not make it so I changed it. Gabriel is blond with blue eyes like an angel. Jessica just looked up at me one day and said "my name is Jessica". Another time I mentioned to a friend that Faith, Hope and Joy would be cute names for a litter then arrived at the shelter the very next day to find some little puppies who had just been surrendered. I didn't even have to ask...they were three girls whose names preceded them. Just be patient. The name will come. Good luck.
Reply:well, before i decided what name to name my german shepherd. i watched closely its habits and its looks. soon, i realised it looked mostly black and it likes flowers alot, no only that, it is a FEMALE! so i named it Darkflower. cus it is dark and likes flower alot!

you can do the same to your pet!
Reply:when i saw my little cat at once, i knew inmediatly that her name was Tikka, and I don麓t know what.

Think about your pet and what sounds it suggests at you.

I hope have expressed medium well, I麓m Spanish.
Reply:if you really love apet a name just pops ito urhead. thas why its a bit hard naming a fish because they ARE BORING
Reply:wait till they show a characteristic
Reply:If you are looking to name your pet with a human-like name then I would look online at a site like...

Otherwise, I would name your pet based on some of its personality traits or its appearence. That way your cat can have a name that is unique to its personal characteristics or look. For example, I have a cat that is black and white and when I first got him, I remember him making this really weird noise that sounded more like he was trying to say "moo" rather than "meow". It was so amusing that based on that and his colors I decided to name him Moo. lol I can't say I know many cats that share that name. ;-)

Good luck!

Reply:like children, some people just have their future pet's name pick out since they were 10. And since you can pretty much name your pet anything, any favorite name people like, they just remember it for their next pet. But the best thing is, your pet won't mind what they are called. Just call them for lunch and dinner!
Reply:Im a 29 year old women and even my mind went blank when we purchased a pet! We were not in a position to own a cat or a dog so we got the sweetest syrian hamster a year ago, and he went a good few days without a name!!

I admit though that i prefer human names for pets... I cant stand things like fluffy or ginger or any rediculous names like that! When you get a pet a name will just click into place. In the end I named the little fella Harry and it really does suit him!!
