Pets are a signifigant choice for emotional support. They are always happy and friendly, even when you are not.





I think pets are good companions.





Names? It depends on what kind of pet it is. Karma for a siamese cat, Dharma...if it's a dog, Shasta, Siskiyou, Maverick, Apollo....
Reply:Dogs are best, they can come when called, be trained to go where you want, give lots of affection and can learn tricks.





Cats are easiest but can cost a lot at the vet with urinary tract infections etc. and they don't love you like a dog does.





Ferrets stink. Don't let anyone tell you that they don't...even after being fixed and descented..they reek of a musk that is with them 100 percent of the time. Bathing them once a month..more or less won't get rid of that smell and it gets all over you.





Hamsters, gerbils and mice bite.





Guinea pigs don't bite and are super easy to care for but they are not super loving like a dog.
Reply:Pets are awesome - but a lot of work! If you're willing to take on the responsibility of owning a pet it can be so rewarding! I have three pets: A Japanese Chin dog named Girl, a big black boy cat named Quinn, and a little Siamese mix girl cat named Winter.
Reply:pets are the best they listen they know when your sad they come over try to cuddle you or put a paw on your lap to comfort you when your happy they bounce around or purr loud i have all kinda pets cats dogs horses and a wolf we had since a cub raised on a bottle some names are ole blue the dog timber the wolf soldier the horse fire water another horse mama cat the old kitty billy u guessed it the goat hansel%26amp; gretal the ducks jack n jill the geese (there great watch dogs) bandit the 30 pound coon also another rescued critter ..lets not forget ..capn chaos a foul mouth parrot..thumper the rabbit...nameless were not sure what the hell he is an over grown furry rodent...and snowy a 14 year old chalet bull...the list goes on hooty an owl rescued also..we live on a ranch and take in pets ..we have returned them to the wild and they come back..like the doe we called honey..she came back with her fawn...there still out inthe pasture 2 years later...i think all animals are great and should be respected and loved

They are a lot of work, so we chose a cat for our pet. More personable than a hamster, yet fairly low maintenance.

Reply:Having had pets for most of my life, I really feel that they are essential to living. They are non-judgemental, their love is unconditional, they are genuine in their actions toward you, and it has been proven my many that they affect your well being in many positive ways. Most of my pets have been cats and currently I live with 2; they are half sisters, having a different father, but the same mother. They are about 6 months apart and as different as can be, the older is named Snickers and the younger is named Khandi (Candy).
