For instinct I got a puppy one time and out of all the ones that was in the litter he was the one that came to me so his name was EAsy had a inside rabbit and he jumped in the ashtray and sit down so his name was Ashes had a cat named sugar's since she was so sweet had gerbil's named crank and speed cause they were always at it. Had gotten a new kitten didn't know what to name him so I waited him out and the first place he curled up and went to sleep was by mt stero speakes so his name was Speackers and when he got up in the morning you darn straight knew he was speaking. Don't feed him processed foods or spices. Try an unsalted sunflower seed, cheerio, pumpkin seed, or a peanut for a treat.

Also, gerbils should be kept in pairs, they are social animals and feel vulnerable, more stressed and are less active alone.

I usually name my pets by how they look and since I can't see yours it's hard to say...does he look kind of like a bear? You could name him Bear! Or Wolf, Coyote, or Fox!
